Happy 91st Birthday Great Grandpa! - 11/27/10

What a great start to the day! We met with the family at the Original Pancake House in Ballard, across the street from the house where Grandpa grew up. Grandpa enjoyed his usual Dutch Baby, and we all stuffed ourselves with a huge breakfast.

Happy 91st birthday, Grandpa!!

We have reached the 5 month mark!

Our little turkey weighed in at 18 lbs., 3 oz. Just over a pound more than the real turkey we enjoyed for Thanksgiving dinner :)

SNOW!!! - 11/22/10

Did somebody say........SNOW!!!!!

It only snowed a few inches today (which paralyzed and brought the city to a standstill) but Avery got to experience her first snow! She shared in the excitement with Jack.

Avery took one look outside and decided it would be better to stay inside with mommy and daddy.

Love at First Sight - 11/21/10

Caitlin and Leo came over for a visit early on Sunday. The two little squirts quickly had a connection - you can see it in their eyes :)

Avery wasn't shy and quickly showed Leo who was in charge....

.....yet still had time to pose for the camera :)

Ready for snow! - 11/21/10

Okay, we didn't actually go out to play in the snow because Avery is still battling a bit of a cold, but she was definitely ready for the chilly weather!

Elvis and Cinnamon Rolls - 11/14/10

On Sunday, we ventured out again to Mae's on Phinney Ridge. We got to sit under a fantastic tapestry of Elvis.

The cinnamon rolls here are DELICIOUS!

Over the River and Through the Woods.... 11/13/10

On Saturday, Avery put on her Cougar gear and we headed over to Port Ludlow on the Ferry.

We got to spend a nice afternoon with Grandpa Dale and Uncle Sid to celebrate their birthdays. Avery also got to spend time with Great Grandpa Bob and Great Grandma Jeanne. The icing on the cake was that the Cougs finally won another game!! We think that Avery's headband is a good luck charm :)

dzień w Polsce - A Day in Poland - 11/7/10

Today we went to the Polish Home in Seattle with Grandma Ann and Grandpa Ken for their 50th annual Fall Bazaar. After looking through all the pottery, jewelry and crafts - we headed downstairs and stuffed ourselves with kielbasa, pierogis, cabbage, potatoes, Polish beer and pastries. Avery even got her photo taken with one of the waitresses wearing a Polish folk costume.

It reminded mommy of the Sons of Norway in Poulsbo - speaking of which, the annual Lutefisk dinner is coming up soon and Avery is just about to start eating solids - I smell (literally) a Lutefisk dinner in her future!
